Keeping familiar joys alive, one visit, one moment at a time.

Early memory changes can make even simple routines feel harder than they used to. Backup Care Angels provides trusted, non-medical support through companion visits, family relief, safe transportation, and at-home assistance that help your loved one stay connected to familiar routines, places, and moments that still feel good and reassuring.

WHY EARLY COMPANIONSHIP MATTERS

Starting early gives your loved one time to get comfortable with a trusted companion while memory changes are still mild. That familiarity can make outings, transportation, at-home visits, and everyday transitions feel smoother, safer, and less overwhelming for everyone involved.

Why I Created Backup Care Angels

This work began after walking beside someone who lived with moderate dementia seeing firsthand how familiarity, routine, and time spent in meaningful places brought him comfort and joy. It showed me how deeply individuals thrive when they feel understood, safe, and seen.

From that experience, I learned something powerful:

It’s not just companionship — it’s connection.

“Real care goes beyond showing up.”

Words From Loved Ones

“We were completely satisfied with every aspect of Didi’s care for my brother, who has moderate dementia. She showed empathy, compassion, and quick thinking, combined with an energetic, positive attitude. She consistently looked for healthy, stimulating activities and always encouraged him. When he became fixated on a negative thought, she calmly redirected him and eased the moment. Truly the best combination of personal, sympathetic, professional care. Thank you more than words can express  for the happiness you brought to him and the peace of mind you gave us, knowing he was receiving such wonderful, watchful care.”
